He has worked with various international newspapers including Daily Telegraph UK as South Asia Correspondent. His main focus of reporting has been climate change and health. In 2022, he won the UN Climate Change Award for his reporting on the Afghanistan floods that devastated millions of lives in the impoverished country. He has been a finalist at many international awards for his reporting on climate change, health, and human rights. Proficiency in English, Hindi, Urdu, and intermediate fluency in Persian helps him to communicate effectively with people across south Asia. Whether it’s an Afghan warlord, a political worker in Pakistan, or a farmer in rural India, he is able to effectively communicate with people in local languages. He did his bachelors in Biosciences from University of Kashmir and Masters in Journalism from Bangalore University. He also has a certificate course of health journalism from University of Texas.
