Srinagar: Bureaucrat turned politician Shah Faesal termed the 2019 Pulwama attack a watershed moment that strengthened the resolve of India to “fight terrorism”.
Faesal said the attack woke up the “sleeping tiger of a nation” that India used to be.
“Pulwama attack was a watershed moment. India lost its bravehearts but its resolve to fight terrorism was strengthened. This incident shall forever be remembered for waking up the sleeping tiger of a nation that India used be. Our solidarities and prayers are with the forces,” Faesal tweeted in response to Home Minister Amit Shah’s solidarity message on the second anniversary of the attack.
At least 40 paramilitary CRPF men were killed in one of the deadliest attacks in Kashmir at Lethpora in south Kashmir’s Pulwama district on February 14, 2019.
Interpol has issued red notices against Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) chief Maulana Masood Azhar and three of his relatives in connection with the attack that brought two nuclear neighbours India and Pakistan to the brink of war.
