Pulwama: Divisional Commissioner (Div Com) Kashmir, Pandurang K Pole along with District Development Commissioner, Pulwama Baseer Ul Haq Choudhary and ADC Tral today visited the site for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) at Awantipora to take stock of status of development works being executed there.

During the visit, the DDC enquired about construction of approach road to AIIMS, provision of water and electricity and other related utilities of the prestigious project.

On the occasion, officials of Central Public Works Department, executing agency for the AIIMS project informed that out of 5001 metres of boundary wall, work on 4500 has been completed

Executive Engineer, R&B, informed that work on double lane approach road to AIIMS coming up at an estimated cost of Rs 1650 crores has been taken up.

The Div Com urged the officers to work in tandem so that the process of construction of the premier health institute is carried out in a smooth and expeditious manner for its timely completion—(KNO)
