Chandigarh : Two daughters of Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi died in a fatal road accident in Chandigarh today.

The slain sisters were nieces of National Conference leader and former minister Aijaz Jan and the daughters of CJM Reasi Syed Adnan.

Chief Judicial Magistrate Reasi Syed Adnan hails from Surankote Poonch.

The deceased, as per the family sources, have been identified as Zava Adnan (elder daughter) and Aqsa Adnan (pursuing Law in Melbourne Australia.

The fatal road accident occurred on Chandigarh Highway when the driver lost control over the vehicle.

Zava Adnan as per family was travelling to Chandigarh along with her sister and other girls when the accident occurred.

Zava was scheduled to leave for Bangladesh to appear in the entrance test for MBBS.

The two sisters died in the accident while other girls accompanying them sustained injuries and shifted to hospital.

National Conference Working President and former J&K Chief Minister Omar Abdullah also condoled the demise. In a tweet he said: “My heartfelt condolences to my colleague @ajazjan. Two of his nieces died in a tragic road accident earlier today. Allah marhoom ko magfirat farmaye. May the young ladies find place in Jannat & may their families find strength at this difficult time.” (KNT)
