a prelude to Kargil Vijay Diwas, the Kargil Victory Flame traveling across Kashmir reached 2 RR India Army. The event at Zainakot was marked by Wreath Laying by Cdr, 10 Sect RR, CO, 2 RR, Ex Service Men & School Children.
This was followed by an interaction of dignitaries with the Ex Service Men over tea and snacks.
The major attraction was the Bike Rally flagged off by Brig Alok Dash, SM from the iconic Shalteng Chowk. The Kargil Victory Flame was carried by Col Ramanji CO 2 RR and subsequently handed over to CO 22 RR at Narbal Chowk.
There was an active participation by Ex service men and school students to commemorate the victorious feat achieved by the Bravehearts during the 1999 Kargil War.
