FOUR MILITANTS KILLED, ONE APPREHENDED IN LAST 24 HOURS IN KASHMIR VALLEY

Srinagar Based on specific intelligence inputs received from JKP, five joint operations were launched in Kashmir valley leading to elimination of four militants and apprehension of one militants.

In the first operation at Batapur, Anantnag Dist, launched at 04.25 AM on 10 March 22, two militants* were eliminated. An AK rifle and other war like stores were recovered.

The JKP has identified the militants as Shahid Hussain Khan, resident of Batpora Pulwama and Fayaz Sheikh of Shahpura, Ganderbal and affiliated to LeT.

The second operation was jointly launched at 09.00 PM on 11 Mar 22 at Tosh Kalan, Pulwama Dist, wherein two militants were eliminated. Two AK rifles and other war like stores were recovered.

The neutralised militants have been identified by JKP as Kamaal bhai @ Jatt, a Pakistani militant and Aqib Mushtaq Bhat, a resident of Karimabad, Pulwama and affiliated to JeM.

In the third encounter, launched at 01.00 AM on 12 Mar 22 at Zachaldara in Nichama, *Kupwara Dist, one militant identified by JKP as Suhail Ahmad Ganie, R/O Turigam, Devbugh,* Kulgam was eliminated. War like stores were recovered from the site.

One more militant identified by JKP as Adil Ah Khan of Badar Kund, Ganderbal was eliminated in a joint operation launched at 00.01 AM on 12 Mar 22 at Kaubagh, Ganderbal Dist. An AK rifle and other war like stores were recovered.*

In a joint operation launched on 12 Mar 22, a militant, identified by JKP as Rouf Ah Mir, resident of Parigam and affliated to LeT was apprehended at Wahibug, Pulwama Dist. War like stores were recovered from him.
