He said that Sultan had joined the Jammu and Kashmir Police in 2009 and was earning only for his ailing father and children.

“After joining the police he was first posted at Bandipora in 2015 and last year he was transferred to Kupwara and was later transferred back to Bandipora,” his cousin said.

He said that Sultan has left behind four kids, his wife and ailing father. “His two sons are 10 and 07 years old and other children, who are twin are just 3 months old. He was the lone bread earner of his family,” he said.

“Now who will take care of his little children. He was the only support for his family as his father is an aged man. What was his crime. Why was he killed,” he asked.
