Baramulla gets third slot in NITI Aayog Delta ranking

The border district of Baramulla Wednesday earned the third slot in the National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog Delta ranking across India which evoked appreciation from different quarters.

National Institution for Transforming India (NITI) Aayog announced its Delta ranking for the month of September of aspirational districts of India.

In the ranking, Baramulla district in the northern belt of Jammu and Kashmir made it to the third spot among the five.

Five districts across India have been named among the top performs for September which includes Ranchi in Jharkhand, Chatra in Jharkhand, Baramulla in Jammu and Kashmir, Wayanad in Kerala, and Shrawasti in Uttar Pardesh.

Informing about the rankings NITI Aayog tweeted, ‘From north to south, east to west, these districts have performed the best! Presenting the top Keycap digit five most improved #AspirationalDistricts in #NITIAayog’s Delta Rankings for the month of #September 2021.”

Meanwhile, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir Manoj Sinha has also lauded the district for attaining the rankings teaming them as the champions of change.

“Baramulla has attained 3rd rank in the #NITIAayog’s delta ranking for Sep 2021. Congratulations @DCBaramulla & team for social commitment & responsibility and making determined efforts to uplift the lives of people. #AspirationalDistrict #ChampionsOfChange”, the LG tweeted.

The ranking has also thrilled the local population who have expressed their satisfaction and happiness over the performance of the administration saying that they except more such achievements from them in the times to come.

Notably, these rankings are a measurement of progress in development considering various factors like health, nutrition, water resources, agriculture, and others—(KNO)
