Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister of erstwhile Jammu and Kashmir State, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday said that Prime Minister Care Fund is the biggest scam and that corruption is at its peak in the present times.

Talking to media persons, Mehbooba said that the ventilators bought through PM care fund are lying defunct not only in Srinagar, but in Gujarat as well. “The huge has been transferred to PM care fund and nobody is answerable to the people. However, the defunct ventilators bought through PM Care fund is a clear indication that it is a biggest scam,” she said.

She added that there are tall claims about corruption free government, but during the present times, the corruption is at its peak and is going on in a sophisticated manner.

Mehbooba also said that the statements being made by the BJP are not based on the facts. “These are just words and nothing beyond. BJP statements doesn’t carry any weight,” she added.

She added that the people in Jammu and Kashmir have been muzzled and considering forceful silence here as peace is not good.

PDP president also said that the additional forces being called in to Jammu and Kashmir is a clear indication that the situation ia not good, adding that the recent civilian killings in Kashmir is total failure of the administration, who despite having the information failed to prevent such incidents—(KNO)
