An Indian Army soldier was killed in Pakistan Army’s firing during a ceasefire violation along the line of control (LoC) in Sunderbani Sector of Rajouri, officials said on Wednesday.
Indian Army’s spokesperson in Jammu Lt Col Devender Anand told the Kashmir Review Pakistan resorted to an unprovoked ceasefire violation on Wednesday in Rajouri. “Indian troops responded strongly to the enemy fire. One of our jawans Sepoy Laxman was critically injured in the Pakistani firing and later succumbed to his injuries,” Anand said.
He said Laxman was a brave and sincere soldier. “The nation will always remain indebted to him for his supreme sacrifice and devotion to the duty,” he said.
